The Cuban Cafe in Baytown

The Food used to be terrific ! But now the owners constantly open up late , and they don’t answer the phone for call in orders . Do yourself a favor and swing by McDonalds for an early breakfast , at least you know they will be open .

One of the cashiers was very condescending. She also ignored potential customers and barely gave myself any customer service.

I love this place ....I feel like family walking thru the door and the food is excellent but the cafe con leche with double shots is the best.... absolutely recommend stopping in if given the chance to......

Great place not 5 starts cause I got charged for bacon and didn't get it. Well I just look at it as an extra $1.00 tip.

The cafe con leche was both wonderful and ENORMOUS. Just what I needed while on the road for work. If you are a work traveler, this is a good place to take out a laptop and work too. Delicious good. Courteous staff.

One of a few small handful of true mom and pop style dining experiences that will make you a regular. Amazing food at low prices and hands down the friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We showed up just before closing and ordered the salad, Cuban sandwich, Cuban coffee and fried plantains. Everything was absolutely Wonderful. The owners came out and we chatted about food and business. Apparently some regulars will come and sweep or help clean to get some free coffee, which is proper Cuban espresso. After enjoying some I was looking for the broom. It's small but packed with flavor and demands careful sips. My first Cuban was amazing. My wife who is very picky about the authenticity of such a staple confirmed it's legitimately. Apparently the bread is imported from South Florida. They can sell you some on request. I will be returning often and without remorse. Supporting a lovely family who will feed you for a very reasonable price is something we can all enjoy.

We visited on Labor day. They had a limited menu, but when they found out we were new to the area and had never been they were very helpful. Food was really good. Can't wait to come back and try something new!

As always, The Cuban Cafe dishes out some of the best food out there. Ever see the movie "Chef"? The Cuban Sandwiches show cased in that movie are available here. The owners/employees are very friendly. They can get busy and you may have to wait a bit, but it is worth it. Don't forget to grab a Cuban Espresso with your sandwich!

Delicious coffee and food! I had the mini breakfast sandwich and cafe con leche and they both were delicious!! The staff were so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back to try some more things on the menu! Thanks for a great first experience!!

This is the best place to get friendly service, perfection on your order and they remember your face and order everytime...I never have to be asked what I want...Hands down best damn coffee east side of Houston.. ✌️♥️

I had the Cuban breakfast sandwich - It was huge with authentic Cuban bread flown in from Florida. Their Cafe con leche is SO good, you don’t need to add anything to it (perfect to dip the Cuban bread into). My fiancé tried the ropa vieja. He loved it and he’s pretty picky about his Cuban food. ‘They crushed it!’If you visit, be sure to help build their dollar wall & support your local businesses. ❤️

Food is great but the restaurant is always dirty when I've been. Either they need to keep it as carry out only or get some new help.

Last two days i been trying to get a drink before work, but haven't got service each time i walk in. They are both in the kitchen and dont even come to the front to at least see if i need something upon walking in. I tried calling like i usually would do before arriving but no one answers the phone for me to place an order. Each time i walked in i waited 10 minutes (big deal when going before work). So in summary place is good, food and drinks are good but its understaffed in the mornings to say the least. will be going to the less tastier but better morning service Starbucks from now on. ** I stop for coffee/food at least 5 days out the week all year round' so you do the math.

The food was delicious, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. And they also made an amazing Cuban coffee drink that I didn't know I needed in my life. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating as possible. Will certainly be back again.

Every time I am in Baytown I get breakfast from here. The food is delicious and the staff are amazing.

This is not a fine dining experience however, the food is fantastic! I am a very picky person when it comes to food. This is a little place that is family owned and operated. They serve breakfast which is awesome and lunch which is great as well. They take your order then cook your food. They don't have a pile precooked and preheated food sitting to slop on a plate after sticking it in the microwave so it takes a little time to get your food. They have quality food and service. All of this with a very reasonable price. If you are a coffee drinker then this is the place for you as well. StarBucks doesn't have anything on what the Cuban Cafe is serving up.I was not paid for this review

This place is a great little cafe to go to for lunch, the interior might not look like much but the service is very good and quick. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich is delicious and the prices are also reasonable. If you're looking for a quick bite during your lunch break think of trying this place next time.

Everytime I get close I stop here for the good food and especially for the great coffee

My husband and I love this place. The Cuban sandwich is super good. I always get the pulled pork dinner, which is delicious! and their chicken dinner is really good. Very nice, friendly people working there. This is our favorite Cuban place to eat at by far.

Wow!! This is well worth the drive out of your route! You will not be disappointed I assure you. The plates are huge portions. All are 100% homemade. If you want the 1/4 chicken place, best to eat before noon- they go fast. Enjoy a true Cuban or American coffee before you leave. Each cup is individually made and are unbelievable! Enjoy! Tried this place for the first time because of the great reviews. I took another customer's recommendation and tried the Cuban. It was very good, the bread they use is delicious, filled with meat. For my taste, it needed some type of sauce, it seemed to be missing something, but I'll give this place another try soon. The service was good and the staff very friendly. I must try their coffee, they had tons of varieties of coffee drinks. I'm hoping they have a website with their menu, I was told they have no to go menus and their menu board is all hand written on a huge chalkboard which looks very cool, but it's difficult to read, especially if there's a line and it's busy. I plan to stop on my way to work, but if I have to wait for others to get to the counter to be able to read the board and decide, I won't stop again. Here's hoping, because I'd love to add this place as a morning go to.

Great owners who love what they do. The food here is flavorful and tasty. Being here makes me feel so good. Chicken and Yellow Rice makes me want to order seconds. They’re located in the West Town Shopping Center which has plenty of parking. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.

We have driven past this place numerous times. Always saying to each other "we will try it one day..." so today we say "let's go!" And we definitely weren't disappointed at all! The service was AWESOME. The food was all delicious. The coffee is to die for and is strong yet delicious. Good Cuban Coffee!!! They are very nice from the moment you walk in. We even got some free goodies since we didnt know what some of it was!!! We will definitely return!!!

It was my first time there today (11.14) and it was a great experience! The owner was very kind and friendly and the staff as well. The breakfast sandwich was delicious! The café leche was amazing too! I will be stopping by again! :)

My friends have told me about this place was skeptical. Walked in very friendly staff the breakfast sandwich was awesome fresh hot and bacon was crispy with a fresh egg now I’m addicted to this place. But that’s not all the iced coffee is the best I’ve ever had I will be back over and over again lol.
